ABOUT US

Welcome to York County Community Coalition, also known as YC3

We are a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization based in York County, Nebraska. Our coalition is made up of many partners serving in various capacities. Our main structure includes three sub-committees working to address large needs in our community:

• Basic Needs

• Child, Youth and Families

• Wellness

  In addition, YC3 holds regular community meetings, some are in person and others are virtual, to have conversations about our community needs.

Our Beliefs and Values

YC3 leadership and partners recognize our role in developing a strong prevention system that is aligned and connected to meet the ongoing needs of every member of our community. We will work together to solve community challenges and will hold the following values and principles as priority in all work of the coalition.

Community Centered--- Community is best understood and led by those that live, work and play in the community.

Collective Impact--- The commitment of diverse partners working together toward a common agenda and goals which address specific community needs and possibilities using a structured collaborative approach.

Dependability--- We make choices in a way that values and honors all that we serve.  Our work is responsible, transparent, and trustworthy in all our actions, and establishes clear expectations for meaningful partnerships.

Diversity/Inclusion/Equity and Belonging--- We engage people with different backgrounds, beliefs, experiences and recognize the differences as assets to learning and innovation.  We recognize not all community members start at the same place, so people need different resources or support to achieve the same outcome-we strive to level the playing field. We all are co-creators of community.

Empowerment--- The work is not about any one person or organizational power, but rather about building the community’s capacity toward an integrated prevention system of care.

Innovation--- Progress is preceded by change and relevance is fueled by challenging the status quo.  Growing partner capacity to meet the changing demands of our community, through a learning, adaptable environment grounded in feedback, data and systems that are efficient and effective.

Partnerships--- We need each other to get to where we want to go; relationships make strong partnerships. We are intentional about defining the partnerships that grow the prevention work.
